KOLOALE head coach, Luke Eroi, says he is satisfied with their 3-1 win against the Brisbane Wolves in their first friendly match yesterday at Lawson Tama.
But he is concerned his players need to move the ball forward and strikers must find the target.
All goals scored yesterday came from midfielders Jeffrey Bule and Henry Koto.
Brisbane Wolves opened the score sheet from Ryan Campbell in the 37th minute after receiving a back pass from Throsses Tsounias from the side line.
He struggled while trapping the ball before placing it home on the right side of Koloale’s goal keeper Shadrack Ramoni.
Koloale were quite fortunate to equalise two minutes from the break from a Bule shot outside the eighteen yard box which caught Wolves goal keeper Adrian Ghidella off guard.
Just a minute later Henry Koto took Koloale into the lead from a left shot right into the corner of the net at the shock of the Wolves.
Brisbane Wolves fought back bravely to take the game back on their side and almost equalised through Richard Lecky but Kolale were saved by the whistle.
Koloale stole the lead 2-1 at half time.
In the second half Wolves got the first chance from Lecky who striked a perfect shot on target but was well served by Ramoni otherwise it could have been an equaliser.
Koloale has had several opportunities for a goal spree from Ezra Sale, Richard Anisua, Bule, Nicholas Muri and Koto but were all wasted through solo-play.
Despite lost chances, Koto scored his second goal and the third for Koloale on the 59th minute from a low shot that hit the goal post and bounced into the net to shield the victory for the home sides.
Koto had chances later but failed to hatch into goals.
Brisbane Wolves towards the end displayed speedy perfect foot work and almost reduced the gap from a free kick by captain Paul Mikula but only hit the cross bar at the jubilee of Koloale to remain at 3-1.
The visiting sides will take on Solomon Bonitos at 4pm today at Lawson Tama and their final friendly match against Koloale on Saturday.
